Corydoras and Discus make Great Community Fish!
The Corydoras species of catfish or Cory catfifsh adds interest and beauty to the lower regions of your aquarium. This popular aquarium scavenger comes in many colors and with sizes that vary. In addition to an ornamental presence, the Corydoras provides the valuable service of devouring uneaten food on the aquarium bottom while they swim around together in a group. They are most enjoyable to watch and work great with discus community tanks. Many discus keepers like Sterbai Corydoras and Panda Corydoras.
Corydoras are from the regions of South America in the Amazon River basin. It inhabits waters with high vegetation and neutral pH and these are the perfect fit for any discus aquarium. They offer color, shape and texture to the tanks, help to keep it clean and provide interest to the overall all aquarium. Remember to buy at least 4 or more Corydoras. They enjoy being with their own kind and feel safe in groups.
