The Super Thai Yellow Discus, as the name implies is a yellow colored discus. The full body is yellow but the shades vary at different parts of the body. The facial region has a dark shade and this gets lighter as it reaches the tail area. Due to this yellow color, the red eye of the discus stands out. Both the dorsal and pectoral fins of the discus are composed of the lighter shade of yellow and the ends of the fins are almost white in color.
The tail fin is almost transparent and almost invisible unless you examine this discus very carefully. There are no obvious patterns that can be seen but a closer examination reveals that there is a striated white pattern running along the mid region but it is not noticeable from far away. The stomach region of this discus is a dark cream color which is clear observed against the yellow body. This discus can grow to about 8” in length and height.
Discus are round shaped and have the same height and length, giving it a flat shape. Its unique feature is the dorsal and pectoral fins that run across the body reaching the tail. It is a feature which is pleasant to watch as they move around your aquarium. The super Thai yellow discus is a beautiful addition to your aquarium because of its color as it will be an attraction to look at especially when there are a few of them together.
